1ST AMENDMENT- FREEDOM OF RELIGION

• Freedom of Religion
• The right to worship who
• or what we choose, without
• The government saying no.

FIRST AMENDMENT- FREEDOM OF SPEECH

• This means we have the freedom to speak
• Freely of our opinions about anything, without
• Fear of government prosecution.

1ST AMENDMENT- THE FREEDOM OF PRESS

• This means we have the right to publish
• newspapers, books, Etc. About anything
• Government related or not, without censorship

1ST AMENDMENT- FREEDOM TO PETITION THE GOVERNMENT

• This means we have the right to petition
• The government, meaning to send a formal request
• For an action to be done.

1ST AMENDMENT- FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY

• This means we have the right to protest, assemble,
• Hold groups, etc. Without government interference
• As long as it stays peaceful

2ND AMENDMENT- THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS

• This means we have the right to own
• A firearm/protection force as licensed.

3RD AMENDMENT- NO QUARTERING SOLDIERS

• This amendment means the government
• Cannot quarter soldiers in any home during times
• Of peace or war without owner's consent.

4TH AMENDMENT- NO WARRANTLESS SEARCHES

• This amendment means the government doesnt have the right
• To search homes and/or seize possible evidence without a proper
• Search warrant.

5TH AMENDMENT- INDICTMENTS

• This is a formal charge or accusation of a
• serious crime.

5TH AMENDMENT- DUE PROCESS

• The fair normal treatment in a court case

5TH AMENDMENT- SELF INCRIMINATION

• This amendment protects a person from being
• Compelled to implicte themself in a crime.

5TH AMENDMENT- DOUBLE JEOPARDY

• This is the prosecution of a person
• Twice for the same offense

5TH AMENTMENT- RULES FOR EMINENT DOMAIN

• The right of a government or its agent
• To expropriate private property for public use, with
• Payment of compensation

6TH AMENDMENT- RIGHT TO A FAIR AND SPEEDY PUBLIC TRIAL

• This is the right to a public trial without
• Unnecessary delay

6TH AMENDMENT- NOTICE OF ACCUSATIONS

• This amendment includes the right to be i formed
• of the nature and cause of the accusation.

6TH AMENDMENT- CONFRONTING ONE'S ACCUSER

• This means you have to get the accuser
• Present in a court case.

6TH AMENDMENT- SUBPOENAS

• This amendment makes someone
• Attend court if addressed.

6TH AMENDMENT- RIGHT TO COUNSEL

• This amendment gives you the right
• To have a counsel

7TH AMENDMENT- RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY IN CIVIL CASES

• This means you have the right to
• Trial by a jury if it is a civil case

8TH AMENDMENT- NO EXCESSIVE BAIL AND FINES

• This means you dont have excessive
• Fines or bail expenses

8TH AMENDMENT- NO CRUEL OR UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT

• This means you cant be tortured.

9TH AMENDMENT- UNENUMERATED RIGHTS

• This means you dont have enumerated rights.

10TH AMENDMENT- LIMITS THE POWER OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

• This means the government has limits
• To its power
