  • “Procedural Law” is the process that MUST be followed.
  • Laws changes over time to adapt to society’s need.

Grandpa 👴 asks the dealer, “how much will you give me for this wrist watch?”
The dealer, in good faith, tells Grandpa 👴 he doesn’t know what kind of metal is in this wrist watch ⌚️, but he will give him $280.

The metal wrist watch ⌚️ turns out to be solid gold and is really worth $60,000.

Grandpa 👴 needs cash to buy medicine and therefore accepts the $280

Legal debate is an argument between two sides.

The outcome of the decision as to who wins the debate is influenced by many factors.

When presented with a legal question - avoid thinking 🤔 about what would be the most just or fair decision, irrespective of existing legal rules.

THE STUDY OF LAW

  • Will teach you to think in a particular way - analytical.
  • You will develop an ability to analyse a problem
  • Be able to argue in a logical manner.
  • Law sometimes may seems illogical
  • But you MUST continue to argue in a logical fashion.

Learning about the law is not like learning
. Mathematics 🧮
. Science 🧬 or

“THE STUDY OF THE LAW QUALIFIES A MAN TO BE USEFUL TO HIMSELF, TO HIS NEIGHBOURS, AND TO THE PUBLIC.”
Thomas Jefferson

The courts would not be besieged by plaintiff and defendants if there were only ONE answer to every legal question.

Often the law is unfair and a person may have no restitution for a diminution.
