• Invented in July 17, 1902 by Willis Haviland Carrier
• Became popular in factories and movie theatres
• Moved into homes in 1950's
• Many companies adapted basic AC structure
• Now available in nearly every country

HOw it changed

• Americas: Major cities that are otherwise too hot became more populated
• Africa: People weren't as hot and are able to stand the heat
• Antarctica: Research facilities are able to stay warm
• Europe Africa and Asia: People are able to live more comfortably
• Overall it has become easier to live in areas with extreme climate
