Proposal

• I am testing the amount of owners of the popular consoles
• The tests that will be performed are 3 2-Prop. Z Tests
• I will test Xbox 360 vs PS3
• I will test Xbox 360 vs Next Gen Consoles
• I will test PS3 vs Next Gen Consoles

Collected Data

• I used a sample size of 30 people
• The amount of people owning a 360 were 13/30
• The amount of people owning a PS3 were 10/30
• The amount of owners of Next Gen were 18/30

Test #1 - 360 VS PS3

• Null Hypothesis: P1 = P2
• Alternate Hypothesis: P1 > P2
• Z = 0.7695 P= 0.2128
• Do not reject the null hypothesis at α = 0.05
• Confidence Interval: (-0.1447, 0.3447) at .95

Test #2 - 360 VS Next Gen

• Null Hypothesis: P1 = P2
• Alternate Hypothesis: P1 ≠ P2
• Z = -1.29 P = 0.1964
• Do not reject the null hypothesis at  α = 0.05

Test #3 - PS3 Vs Next Gen

• Null Hypothesis: P1 = P2
• Alternate Hypothesis: P1
• Z = -2.07 P = 0.19
• Reject the null hypothesis at α = 0.05
• Confidence Interval (-0.5864, 0.0531) at .99

Conclusion

• Based on the collected data, the PS3 has been ruled out
• There isn't enough data to decide between 360 and Next Gen
• Final decision of making the purchase of a Next Gen Console
