WHAT DO THEY EAT?

  • Rhinos eat plants. They like leaves from trees and bushes.
  • They will also eat twigs, grass, and fruits.

WHERE DO THEY LIVE?

  • Rhinos LIVE in the wild.
  • Rhinos LIVE in grasslands and floodplain of eastern and Southern Africa.

WHAT CAN THEY DO

  • They are brutal protectors of their young.
  • A group of rhinos is called a "crash".
  • Rhinos often are found in the mud because it protects their skin from the sun and bug bites.

WHAT Are The BABIES LIKE

  • The rhino protects the babies. The mother stays with them for two years.

INTERESTING FACTS

  • They are endangered because they are wanted for their horns. The horns are worth money because in some cultures the horn is believed to be medicine.
  • They have big legs.
  • They cannot see very well.
