NEW APPROCH PHILOSOPHY

• Pilot flying at 1000' is the landing pilot
• Eliminates low altitude transfer of control
• New First Officer landing minimums
• (Lowest applicable Non-ILS Minimum)
• ( Cat 1 ILS >1800RVR)

APPROACHES REGROUPED

• All Non-Precision and Cat 1
• Cat 2 and Cat 3
• "Approaching Minimums"and "Minimums" replace all previous acronyms
• (Ie. MDA, DA, DH, AH)

"E-FESS LIGHTS"

• Allows for future use of Enhanced Vison
• Allows Non-ILS and Cat 1 descent below minimums
• Normally called by pilot flying at "approaching minimums"
• (or when approach lights acquired with enhanced vision)
• Allows decent to 100' above TDZE

"APPROACH LIGHTS"

• Allows Non-ILS and Cat 1 descent below minimums
• Normally called by pilot flying at "approaching minimums"
• (or when approach lights acquired with unaided vision)
• Allows decent to 100' above TDZE
• Not a mandatory call

"CONTINUE"

• Called by Pilot Flying at "Minimums" call
• Allows decent to 100' above TDZE
• ***does NOT commit crew to land***

"100"

• 100 feet above TDZE
• This becomes the ultimate "decision point"

"LANDING"

• Announces the Pilot Flying's intentions
• Will normally be called at "Minimums"
• (Or at the "100" call out)
• ***Does not commit crew to land***
