But is it true?
Let's Cut to the Chase:
Actually,
During the Dark ages there was a lack of Roman Literature, which really is why it was called the Dark Ages
For Example
- You go on a Vacation for 7 days
- You Journal every day except for the 7th Day
- What were you doing on the 7th Day?
You would Be "In the Dark", because no would would know what you were doing
Well, The Dark ages was a long period of time between 500 AD and 1500 AD.
IN THIS PERIOD OF TIME
- No one knew how to read or wright
- Information couldn't get around in the world because of the lack of books
- Not many book copies could come out because there was no printing
- Therefore, the Roman Empire was "In the Dark".
THIS TOOK PLACE IN THE ROMAN EMPIRE
You Probably think that no good things could happen in a time called "The Dark Ages".
ACTUALLY:
- The Dark ages really helped encourage woman's rights
- Slaves were being released and became free
- Christian populations expanded.
Improvements with Christians Happened When tribes from Northern Europe invaded the western part of the Roman Empire
THE TRIBES
- Gave their life's to Christianity
- Made church the one thing everyone had incommon
- That helped a lot by bringing people close together
SO,
- The dark ages really don't seem so bad
ALSO
- Farming Improved
- The Dark ages sound like there would be storms, but weather was really good from 500 Ad to 1500 Ad
THEN THE END COMES AROUND
IN THE END- 1450S
- Wars for Religious reasons- (More people become Christian)
- Printing Was invented!!!
FOR EXAMPLE:
- People could Learn to read or write
- More book copies were produced
- Education improved
- No one was in the dark
