What is live streaming used for?

Live Streaming can be used for any multitude of things!
some people use Streaming as a way to interact with a social media community. One of the most popular uses for live streaming is gaming. live streaming platforms such as Twitch allow people to do a live broadcast of the game they are playing. In the midst of the COVID 19 crisis, live streaming has become an important tool for teachers and businesses.

how to Live stream

Live streaming requires 4 basic ingredients.
1. Camera
2. Mic
3. Computer
4. internet access
luckily most new smartphones have all these things built in.

camera

A webcam or a phone camera will work for this.
however, if using a camera that is separate from your phone or computer such as a DSLR seen in this photo you will need the proper adapters and a capture card.
each camera is different and can require different adapters.

The resolution of your camera will determine the canvas resolution of your stream.

The canvas is the quality that your stream is recorded at and is the maximum resolution of your stream, however, the canvas does not determine the final upload quality of the stream.

microphone

your microphone will be used to input audio so that your audience can hear your voice.

Cell phone and Laptop mics are okay but if you want to stream higher-quality audio there are many USB mics and headsets that can take your audio quality to the next level.

internet

Possibly the most important part of live streaming.
