Overview

  • Students that struggle in writing may or may not be identified with disabilities.
  • Common LDs that benefit from AT for WRITING are physical motor skills, visual perception, and students with cognitive disabilities. ELL students, hearing impairments, and AAC issues may also lead to AT tools for writing.

Low Tech

  • Variety of pencils/pens; Adapted pencil/pen (grips, widths);
  • Adapted paper; Writing templates
  • Prewritten words/phrases; Re-Orientation
  • Slantboard
