HOW ITS USED AND TREATED

  • The main water treatment facility is in St. Paul
  • It is treated through oxygenation & addition of ferric chloride to reduce allege growth
  • Most of the water we use comes from major lakes and rivers, like the Mississippi river.

LAWS FOR WATER TREATMENT

  • Their must be safe drinking water, the SWDA says that it can only be treated by a certain method.

HOW DOES IT IMPACT THE ENVIRONMENT

  • If not treated right it can harm you, it can also kill wildlife like fish and other animals if contaminated.
  • But if treated right it will help us live.

  • In Randolph Wisconsin a water treatment plant just received a grant for $1.15 million for upgrades to their plant.
