  • “Thumbs Up” to us Americans this means good job! But in Bangladesh its an insult sort of like the middle finger to us.
  • “Come here” its obvious what it means to us. But in the Philippines its used to get rid of dogs.

  • “The Horns” So to most americas depending on where you use them it says rock out! In cuba or another latin country this is use to tell someones spouse is cheating on them.
  • “Looking at your watch” means your in a hurry. In the middle east its very rude to not let a conversation take its course and if you check your watch you are extremely rude.

  • “The Ok” in the us this means that everything is fine or doing well. In brazil however this symbol represents the ok symbol.
  • “The peace sign” both palm facing in and out in america mean the same thing “peace” or “victory” but in other countrys its different and the palm direction means something. The peace at all in any direction in russia is insulting.

  • “Peace sign” (palm facing inward) is extremely insulting and can be related to the middle finger to us.
  • “Crossed fingers” in the us this means good luck but in china this represents the number 10 and in Germany this is used to tell a white lie.

  • “The L sign” in America this means looser or you lose but in china this simply represents the number 8.
  • “The Hang loose sign” means to stay cool or be friendly but in Libya its a way of saying peace or “we dont have a problem”
