Leonardo Da Vinci

  • Born April 15 1452 in Vinci, Italy.
  • Known for his famous paintings
  • Considered the embodiment of the Renaissance
  • Arrived in Venice, Italy while searching for a new patron
died May 2, 1519, Clos Lucé, Amboise, France

Was known for how quickly he changed what project was working on. Had many unfinished ideas and projects, because he had so many ideas. He also had a sort of diary that he wrote down most of his ideas, one of which being the very first thought of airplanes.

Humanism

Humanism was a renaissance cultural movement that moved away from medieval scholasticism and brought back human interest in living life to the fullest

Michelangleo

  • Born March 6, 1475
  • Died February 18, 1564
  • Italian painter, architect, sculptor, and poet

Created the famous sculpture David, Moses, Bacchus, and he painted the Sistine Chapel's ceiling (which was initially supposed to be done by Da Vinci, but he never did it)

Shakespeare

Considered the father of today's literature. Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was a playwright, a poet, an author, and actor. Married Anne Hathaway when he was 18. Some of his most famous works are "Romeo and Juliet" "Hamlet" and "Twelfth night"

"Birthplace" of the Renaissance. Where most of the renaissance artists and creators lived and created things. Had many new types of architecture that inspired the rest of the world. Has the Florence Cathedral, St. Peter's Bascilla, and the Palazzo Medici Riccardi
