There are rules, and they apply to everyone no matter who they are
The lady justice that's standing in front of the Supreme Court building is wearing a blind fold because the law doesn't care who you are so its the rule of law.

CHECK AND BALANCES/ SEPARATION OF POWER
Power is split between 3 branches and single branch can't act alone
The three branches executive, judicial, legislative

INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY
Operates independently from other branches ideally, it is not pressured by politicians, culture
All judges shall serve durning good behavior it essentially means life, so there saying when your a judge your always a judge
