Introduction
Do you notice how a bus
stops or how a ball slows down? That is Newton’s first law of motion or law of inertia.

Inertia
Inertia is made from a Latin word inners. Inertia is when a rock is still it will stay still for ever unless a force moves it. If a ball is moving it will move forever unless a force stops it. If a driver does not have a seat belt and the car crashes the driver will keep on going on the same speed and direction until a force stops him/her. If they are wearing a seatbelt they will go slower when the car goes slower.

FORCES

Gravity
Gravity is a force that pulls down. Everything in the universe has a gravitational pull. The bigger the object the heavier the pull. For example when a apple falls down a tree gravity pulls it down. I have less gravitational force than the earth.

Friction
Friction is a force that helps us stop things. For example a ball rolling on grass after some time it stops.

Acceleration
Acceleration is a objects speed or velocity.
If you push the gas then the car will start to go. If the car was in space it would go straight forever.
