• Lahars is a term that hot or cold mixture of rock and water.
• Eruptions may trigger one or more Lahars

LANDSLIDES

• Masses of rock and soil that slide
• Volcanic landslides range in size from less than1km3 to more than 100km3

LAVA FLOWS

• Lava flows are streams of molten rock.
• Fluid basalt flows can extend tens of kilometers from an erupting vent.

PYROCLASTIC FLOWS

• Pyroclastic is mixtures of hot and dry rock fragments
• They may result to an explosive eruption

TEPHRA

• Fragments of volcanic rock
• These fragments range in size 2mm ash to more than 1m in diameter
