-Stephen Hawking-

Stephen hawking’s parents lived somewhere in north London but because Oxford was considered a safe place to have children during world war II, that is where he was until he was eight. At that point they moved to St. Abans. Stephen had a loving mother and father. Even though their house was in north London, they spent most of their time down in oxford.

Stephen Hawking attended st. Abans as a child and then went on to college at the university of oxford studying physics where he was awarded a first class honors degree in natural science. He then went on to study cosmology at Cambridge.

While he was studying at cambridge, he came across a life changing trial, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. (A.L.S.)

a.l.s. prevents you from walking, articulating words, breathing and swallowing easily, and even holding your head up or holding a pencil.

though he had this great trial, Stephen hawking has 13 successful books, a beautiful daughter and wife. He has gave many adored lectures and was director of research at the Department of applied mathematics and theoretical physics at Cambridge university. Also a highly successful movie recently came out in his honor.

i think his legacy is best said by a quote he said him self, "however difficult life may seem there is always something you can do and succeed at."

Fun facts
- He was born on Jan 8th 1942 also known on the 300th anniversary of Galileo’s death.
- When he was in grade school he was either failing or average until around he was 12.
- Though his grades suffered he was always interested in how things work. He was always known to disassemble clocks, radios, or anything with machinery.
