LIFESTYLE

  • Giant pandas live in a few of the mountain ranges in central China because of there low-energy diet they have to avoid possible situations like predators and any falls and steep mountains.

DIET

  • Giant pandas spend 14 hours of eating every day!!! One giant needs about 12-38 kilograms of food each day and mostly eat tender stems and bamboo.

HABITAT

  • Giant pandas live in broadleaf forests dense understory bamboo. There habitat is often shrouded in mist of affected by torrential rain. But due to the human population expanding the giant pandas habitat has reduced to now 6 patches of bamboo forests and are now pushed to live in those little parts of the forests.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

  • The giant panda, a black and white bear with a typical large bear body with a fluffy coat, they have only black ears,eye patches, legs and shoulders. The rest of its coat is white.

  • The reason why they can climb trees and bamboo so easily is because they have an extra bone in there thumb which clings to the tree and the grip it. They are also being poached for there fluffy fur and skin and sometimes for medicines.
