Three Can’t-Miss Franchise Expos for Discovering New Investments

Obtaining a franchise from a proven concept, then investing and working hard to realize a career of your dreams, is a popular route to financial independence. The most well-established franchisees have combined the standards and training of the franchisor with their own never-wavering diligence to satisfy customers.

But they’ve also done their due diligence by researching online, working with a franchise broker, and/or attending franchise expos.

Topics of Discussion

  • Franchise Expos
  • International Franchise Expo (IFE)
  • West Coast Franchise Expo (WCFE)
  • Franchise Expo South (FES)

1. Franchise expos are excellent venues for learning about potential opportunities, such as fast-food franchising, because they put you face to face with dozens (or even hundreds) of brands, franchisors, and other current and potential owners. Of course, you can’t be expected to attend all the franchise trade shows that come around annually. So how do you choose where you conduct your franchise research? We’ve narrowed it down three of our favorites to help you make your plans:

2. Next Event: June 16 – June 18, 2016
Location: Javits Center, New York, NY
The International Franchise Expo is the largest franchise convention. As a global event, the Expo draws franchisors and potential franchisees from scores of countries. Their motto “Find the business you’ve always been looking for — in just one weekend” matches proven concepts with potentially interested investors. More than 400 brands will be represented at the 2016 Expo, and participation should exceed 20,000 visitors and participants.

3. Next Event: Oct 6 – 8, 2016
Location: Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA
The WCFE is the largest franchise event in the West. Similar in scope to the FES, the Expo presents every phase of franchising. Included are focused seminars designed to educate prospective franchisees in every area of fast-food franchising. The WCFE features proven concepts that include ice cream, coffee and tea, pizza, subs, Mexican-style food, pretzels and others.
