PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HISTORY OF VELCRO

BY: TONY MANN

Swiss Engineer George de Mesteal.
It started in 1941 when he discovered that the "spine" covering the burrs weren't the straight spike-like structures they appear to be at first glance, but rather tiny barbs that allowed the seeds to hook easily onto any fibrous material that provided a natural loop, such as woven fabric, fur, and even hair.

We now have Velcro straps on our KD 7s that's most popular in our schools. Velcro went from unattractive in 1941 to cool-looking in 2015

What i learned from this project is that they are many inventors that discovered many amazing things that we use in our daily life but we ignored who discovered it. Georges De Mestral discovered that this inventor discovered the velcro.
