My paper is about how many parents expect their daughters to be skinny, organized, and tough, while sons are expected to be smart, kind, gifted, and protective.
I believe that parents do have higher hopes and standards for their sons than their daughters because parents expect their sons to be smart, gifted, funny, playful, and loving.
In conclusion, my opinion is that parents need to stop saying and thinking one kid is better, smarter, or skinnier than one another. Parents push their kids to be perfect, when they should really be asking themselves and their kids what they want and how they feel. Parents should step back, take a breath and let their kids be what they want to be and who they want to be.
