Example of project-based learning

  • This method is great for big/complex projects. Such as researching about the different planets in groups and putting data together and analyzing it and finally presenting it in a form of a poster, or video, or slideshow.

Inquiry Based Learning

  • students view themselves as active participants in learning process
  • students plan and carry out investigations
  • students raise questions
  • teacher is less involved in direct teaching
  • teacher does more modeling, guiding, facilitation, and continual assessment of student work.

Example of Inquiry Based Learning

  • Students are presented with the topic of Pollution..questions can be made regarding what some problems are and then of course they must come up with solutions. Teacher is there to support when it is needed.
