Similarities

  • One similarity is that in the creation stories of both religions, is that there is only 1 god.
  • Another similarity is that both religions believe that God created everything, including Earth.
  • In both religions, they believe that the first man was created from soil and God's breathe

  • In both religions, the creation of the first woman corresponds and says that she came from the first man's side.
  • Also in both religions, Adam & Eve were tempted to disobey God, and did so they were banished.
  • Both religions also believe that they are in some way superior to God's other creations like animals and plants.
  • Lastly, both religions believe that God will create a new world for his followers.

  • The people in the Islam religion are called Muslims and follow the Qur'an.
  • The people in the Christian religion are called Christians and follow the Bible.
  • The mention of prophets and the prophet Muhammed are mentioned in the Qur'an but not the Bible's creation story.

  • In the Bible, its mentioned that in order to keep out Adam and Eve there way a fiery sword at the gates so that they couldn't enter but this wasn't mentioned in the Qur'an

  • A similarity in the structure of both creation stories is that while telling both stories, the sentence structure becomes very short and choppy, but then goes into very longer and more detailed sentences.
