"California has the silicon valley. This is an area that is home to a lot of technology companies. Texas has a silicon prairie. Most is located near Dallas and Fort Worth

Government

Like the United States, Texas has a government with three branches. These are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

Heritage
Texans go to West, Texas to learn about kolaches and Lockhart, Texas to learn about B-B-Q

Air and Space

• The Johnson Space Center opened in 1958
• The Space center headed the Apollo manned moon flight
• The Johnson Space Center employs around 18,500 people

Fun Fact In 2004 Texas officially became a majority - minority state which means the majority of the population is Hispanic
