NITROGEN CYCLE

  • The nitrogen starts in the air and eventually falls to the ground
  • It will go into the soil and plants will consume it through there roots
  • Animals will come along and eat the plant and get the nitrogen from it
  • The animals will emit waste products with the nitrogen in it
  • The waste (with the nitrogen in it) will decompose the cycle starts again
Nitrogen-nitrogen is a chemical element that all living things need to survive. Humans and animals consume nitrogen by eating other items that have nitrogen in them. Plants absorb it through there roots because the nitrogen is in the soil.

  • Animals or waste decompose into the ground and so the nitrogen in them
  • Goes into the soil.
