FATS

  • Contain: carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen
  • Twice as much energy as an equal amount
  • of carbohydrates.
  • Forms part of the cells, fatty tissue protects
  • And supports internal organs, acts as an insulation

  • Unsaturated, and saturated fats
  • Unsaturated: a liquid at room temp. found in some
  • different types of sea food, salmon
  • Saturated: a solid at room temp. in animal products
  • meat, dairy products, and egg yolks. Oils too.

FATS

  • Contains, saturated fats it contains cholesterol
  • Cholesterol- a waxy fat like substance in animal products,
  • and an important part of your cells, liver makes it, not necessary
  • 30 percent of calories eaten each day come from fats

  • Obtain it by eating plants, 9 minerals needed by
  • Your body.
