LED FLASH

SEMICONDUCTORS

  • Materials are silicon, germanium, gallium arsenide, silicon carbide
  • Semiconductors are the main function part of the LED Flash
  • Uses two semiconductors, the p-type and the n-type
  • Attach them toghther and you get a weak insulation zone
  • The zone prevents positive and negative charges combining

LED FLASH FINAL

  • When the charges combine it forms holes
  • The holes are what produces the flash
  • The flash can be weak at times because it needs to be charged
  • Batteries can also help charge the semiconductors
  • When the LED is turned on, all of the electron-holes make a flash
