Limestone

used to build the shinx & the pyramids
limestone was commonly used for building ancient Egypt monuments like the pyramids, the Spinx and other known monuments of the ancient Egyptians

Rosetta stone

stone used for hyroglyphs & to find what hyroglyphs mean
Rosetta stone was used for writing hieroglyphs and was said to be a clue to figuring out what hieroglyphs meant.

Flint

used for sickles in harvest & weapons
flint was used to make the blades of sickles, which wee used to harvest the crops. flint also made the blades of weapons.

used for small scarabs, like charms
steatite was used mainly for making small scarabs. which sort of resembled good luck charms.

Sandstone

One of the main building stones in Ancient Egypt 
Sandstone is a hard stone that was one of the Ancient Egyptians main building stones. Some things it was used for were, statues, temples, and weapons.

Basalt

Used to make weapons 
Basalt was a hard, dark stone. It was used to make weapons such as, shields, spears, daggers, and the most common weapon the Egyptians used was, bows and arrows.

Granite

Used for weapons and in massive tombs for ancient pharaohs 
Granite is a hard stone that was used to make weapons and, at one point, used in the hunormus tombs of pharaohs.

Quartzite

A hard stone used for statues, temples, and tombs  
Quartzite is a hard stone that the Ancient Egyptians used for statues, temples, and tombs.

Alabaster

A soft stone used for small indoor sculpture  
Alabaster is a soft stone. There are 2 kinds of alabaster, but scientists mostly refer to gypsum. The Ancient Egyptians used gypsum alabaster for small indoor sculpture.
