GEOMETRY STORY

One day a square was walking down the sidewalk in the park. An apple fell on his head. He observed some things about it.

NOTES

• The apple was a circle,so it did not have any angles.
• But if the apple was a square,it would have all right angles.
• Circles have no sides.
• A circle is not a polygon.
• (That apple really hurt)

Suddenly the apple turned into a square right in front of his eyes. Now he noticed different things about the polygon.

NOTES

• The square is a polygon.
• The square had 4 right angles.
• All sides were congruent.
• It was a quadrilateral.
• All sides were parallel.

Then the apple turned into a triangle. He noticed that.........

NOTES

• It had three sides.
• 2 acute and 1 obtuse angles.
• It is a polygon.
• No parallel lines.
