The topic of child abuse is an issues that must be dealt with because, yes it is alright to punish your kids, you don't need to be too harsh. The fact is people aren't awere of the situation or don't know how to handdel it is disappointing. Draper's novel can show people the dangers around children and how violent a person can be.

Jordan Sparks vs. Gerald and Angel
Jordan Sparks was sent to prison for child abuse. Gerald and Angel told the court their life spent with Jordan. Molestation, beatings,screaming, and yelling at them. Both agreed that Jordan was kicking and punching Gerald as well as touching, screaming, and yelling at Angle. Mentally and physically abusing Angel and Gerald.

FACTS ON CHILD ABUSE

• CDC and DCF said acts of commission or omission by a caregiver that results in harm
• Physical, neglect, emotional, sexual, psychological abuse
• Child abuse can occur in a child's home, in schools or communities the child interacts at
• 20% of the child deaths occurred in 2012, the children were exposed to domestic violence in the home.

FACTS ON CHILD ABUSE

• At least 5 or so children die every day because of child abuse.
• 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will have sexually abuses before they reach 18.
• Most of child sexual abuse victims know the person in some way. the restare abused by family
• Most children become victims of abuse and neglect at 18 months or younger.
• Most children die under the age of 4 and The rest are under the age of 1.

Gerald is a young boy that grew up to small. At a young age Gerald was stuck in a fire and was sent to the hospital. Years later his mother and his new sister was abused by their step-dad Jordan. Angel was molested, slapped, and yells at. Gerald was punched and kicked. Gerald was always stands up for Angel and took the fall for her. Whenever Jordan would go to slap Angel, Gerald would stand in front of her.

We as people should not judge someone because you don't
