• It also led to a lot of friendly fire

• Encouraged war support
• Depicted soldiers as heroes
• Showed enemies as evil

NEW FIGHTING STICKS

• Weapons technology advanced quickly during the war
• The death toll was much higher due to being unable to defend against the new weapons
• It also made certain parts of war, such as gaining ground, much quicker
• Some slowed the war down, however, such as trench warfare
