HOW DOES TRANSPORTATION INFLUENCE THIS PARTICULAR INDUSTRY

  • When you ship I phones or I pods or I pads it will cost more
  • This is because the electronics are fragile and cannot get wet so you will have to use an airplane
  • Airplanes may cost more but they help you out when you have to go to places like the U.S.A. And many other places that are longer distance

DIFFERENT WAYS OF TRANSPORTATION

  • Break of bulk point: That is a location where transfer among transportation modes is possible
  • Just- in time delivery: This is when something arrives right when you need it like if you order food and it comes right when you need it that's one example of it
  • Somethings that will prevent just in time delivery
  • Traffic: This can be a big issue because if you really need something and there's construction that will cause it to be late
  • Labor Unrest: A strike at the one supplier can cause the whole plant to shut down production
  • Natural Hazards: Poor weather conditions can prevent things from coming on time
