I have a friend who passed away just like Jason, " right then, the boy pulls out a gun and starts shooting". I also have read a book just like this it's called " We beat the Streets".
Inference
Why does the mom bake cakes for Jason on his birthdays ?
I can infer that Mann's mom misses his son Jason because she always bakes cakes for him on his birthdays. Mann also misses him too because they both talk about him.
My Own Words
Mann's uncle wakes the family up at 9:00 am because the whole family is going to the amusement park. Mann's mom gets ready and when she is coming down the stairs , the whole family's there. Uncles were watching T.V., kids playing, and Mann having fun with his grandma.
Setting
The Setting in this book is in the front porch. Because it leads to Mann remembering about Jason. When he sees it he thinks about the blood
