Interesting Facts
1.When the Spaniards arrived and took control of Cuba ,they forced the Native Americans to mine the gold and silver.
2.Many Indians died from diseases and harsh treatment.
3.The trade in African slaves began in Cuba during the 1520's but remained relatively limited until the late 1700’s.
