Survey

A method for researchers to collect data on people's opinions based on a series of questions.

Population

A group of people with similar traits.

Sample

A small number of people that suppose to represent the general population.

A group of people that suppose to reflect the genereal population as a whole.

Questionnarie

A series of questions given to the participant that are suppose to be answererd by them. 

Interview

A method where a trained researcher asks questions and records the answers they gathered.

Closed-ended questions

Questions where a person must choose from a limited set of responses.

Qualitative variable

A variable that is defined in a category.

Dependent variable

A variable that reflects the independent variable.

Intervening variable

A variable that changes the pairing between the independent and the dependent variable.
