Elements just about make up everything you see. Some examples are iron, oxygen, helium, and for all you superman fans, krypton. There are tons of elements now, and hopefully more some day. Scientists figure these out and name them based on who found it or where. An element is basically the core of everything.
Mixtures. Mixtures are most likely gonna be your favorite, because some mixtures are food. Salad, cereal, tea, and chex mix are all mixtures. A mixture is when you take two or more things and put them together. There are two types of mixtures.
Two types of mixtures There are two types of mixtures. There is homogenous, which is where you cannot see the different components of the mixture. There is also heterogenous, which means you could very easily separate the components.
Lastly we have a special slide. There are lots of elements in the earths core. There are so many, I can't name them all. I will name. A few you might know though. Iron, nickel, sulfur, chlorine, tin, copper, gold, lead, tungsten, and silver. There are lots more, but as I said, I can't name them all
