J is for justice. Firefighters go in and burn down houses as soon as someone reports a book. They don't give the owner of the house a chance to defend the self. That is unjust.

K is for kite. Guy is like a kite. Society has always been holding him down. As society's grip loosens Guy gets closer and closer to being free.

L is for literacy. Guy doesn't understand the literacy of the books. He gets confused by almost everything he reads. He is not educated enough to understand the books.

M is for Mildred. Mildred is Guy's wife. Mildred has very different opinions than Guy. Mildred just follows what people tell her. She does not think.

O is for odd. Guy is thought of as odd when he has a book in public. People start to look at him differently. People start to think he has gone crazy.

P is for poverty. The characters are living happy. They aren't thinking about anyone but themselves. Other parts of the world are suffering from poverty and no one cares.

Q is for quality. The quality of life is thought to be good by the citizens . If you look at how many suicides that happen and the war going on then you might disagree with that. Faber thinks books would make the quality of life better.
