Bacon, Onion, & Cheese Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 5-6 lg. potatoes, sliced
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1-2 lg. onions, sliced thin
  • 6-8 slices bacon, raw
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper

Step 1

  • Melt butter in baking dish.

Step 2

  • Layer potatoes, onions, slat and pepper over melted butter and repeat once.

Step 3

  • Place bacon slices over top.

Step 4

  • Cover with foil and bake at 400º for 50-60 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Step 5

  • Uncover and cook 5-10 minutes more until bacon is browned.

Step 6

  • Sprinkle cheese on top of bacon and cover with foil. Cheese will melt while you set the table.

Note

  • This recipe is great for the grill in a foil pan or wrapped in aluminum foil.
