PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CAN YOU GUESS?

BY: LILY LIEBERMAN

The national news is full of things about Covid, the election, and fires in the west. So I decided to lighten things up a little bit. What I’m going to talk about today is the cutest little bundle of joy you’ve ever laid eyes on.

For my current events I decided to do it about a new baby panda!

The eight week old baby panda, who is yet to be named, went on his first field trip a few days ago. The baby panda lives in our national zoo in Washington DC. His proud mama, Mei Xiang, is trying to teach the baby panda how to crawl.

One of the ways the mama panda teaches her baby panda how to crawl is by taking the baby panda on a field trip to the outside for fresh air and a different view. It was a very short field trip for the pandas. The mom gently nudges her panda cub along the floor but keeps him moving at all times. Then the baby panda starts to use his legs to move forward step by step as the baby cub gains more strength.

I think that this lens is the geographical lens because the original panda pair were a gift from China in 1972.

I CHOSE THIS ARTICLE BECAUSE

  • I really like pandas
  • Pandas are really cute
  • It’s a change of news
