  • I choose this topic because I was curious about the capsule hotels in class so I decided to do research
  • I wanted to find out more details and how frequently they are used by people

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • A capsule hotel is a hotel is a type of hotel that features a large number of extremely small "pods"
  • Intended to provide cheap, basic overnight accommodation for guest who do not require services offered by more conventional hotels
  • They are usually $30 to $50 a night

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

  • The first capsule hotel was in Osaka
  • It opened in 1979 to help people find a quick, cheap and convent place to stay

COMPARISON

  • There are starting to be more capsule hotels in America
  • There is one capsule hotel in New York
  • There are no real differences in the hotels

  • This reflects Japanese culture because it is very organized and neat. Also it is very easy and looks modern, giving it a Japanese styled look. It is taken care of well and has fast internet.
