Paracelsus was a renaissance physician, botanist, alchemist, astrologer, and general occultist.

Laudanum is any preparation in which opium is the chef ingredient.

Paracelsus discovered that some diseases are rooted in the brain.

Laudanum used to be a drink with10% opium and 90% alcohol the drink was flavored with cinnamon or saffron.

Paracelsus invented laudanum and discovered zinc.

It took people a long time to find out the negative side effects of laudanum and in the early 19th century laudanum was used as a painkiller, sleeping pill, or tranquilizer.

Paracelsus believed that all diseases were created from either sulphur, mercury, or salt.
