Grades

• Must be entered in Gradespeed in a timely and balanced way
• You should take at minimum 12 grades a cycle
• If you give a student a cycle zero, it takes 100's for the other 3 cycles
• There is always something more we can do for a student who really tries

YOU MUST VERIFY

Process for grades

• Gradespeed and Chancery are NOT the same
• The Data in Gradespeed must be verified by you before we can export to Chancery.
• If you DO NOT verify, YOU hold up the entire school's grade data.
• Bad things happen.
• So CLICK THE VERIFY BUTTON ON TIME
• DO NOT believe the people telling you grades are not due
• This is a big part of your job. Students deserve make up work yes, but not if you have to hold up the whole school.
• Grade changes need to be made very soon after the error is discovered. DO NOT WAIT.
• If a student enrolled late, grades are sent to Dean's. Now the new student will also present grades to you. If no grades, we send that in a form to the Deans. Leave the grade blank.
• Check the grading calendar (NOT PINK) that I sent you. Put it where you can see it. Let me know if you need it sent again.
• If you teach a senior, be prepared to have those grades DONE during senior finals which are a week early. We MUST have them, it is why you give the tests early.
