Born in 1469 and died in India on December 24, 1524
Dad's name was Estavao
Brothers name was Paulo
He was the first European to reach India by sea.

He sailed 27,000 miles over the ocean
He sailed four times more than Christopher Columbus in 1492
He mapped many unknown lands and undiscovered waters
He discovered an ocean route from Portugal to the Far East

I think Vasco da GAMA was a risk taker because he sailed to many unknown waters not knowing if he was safe or not
I think Vasco Da Gama was knowledgeable because he needed to know and figure out were he was going
