THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS

Salem witch trials were from 1692-1693, and they were in Salem, Massachusetts.

STARTED OUT WITH TWO GIRLS WHO WERE THOUGHT TO BE POSSESSED.

the girls accused Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osborne.

ACCUSED (MEN) WOMEN WERE USUALLY OVER 40 YEARS OLD .

The most accused in Salem were the wealthy, but the poor could be too.

OVER 60 PEOPLE WERE CLAIMED TO BE DOING WITCHCRAFT, ABOUT 25 DIED.

Almost 50 people admitted to witchcraft to avoid trial.

THE TRIALS ENDED BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE NOTICED THAT ONES GETTING

Accused were innocent, and Governor Phips wife got accused (which he did not like).
