  • People with Bulimia may secretly binge eat and then purge to get rid of all of the food.

Symptoms

  • Forcing yourself to vomit
  • Using laxatives (excessively)
  • Using dietary supplements (excessively)
  • Exercising (excessively)
  • Fasting
  • Feeling like you can't control what or how much you eat
  • Living in fear of gaining weight

Possible Causes

  • The exact cause of Bulimia is unknown but genetics, biology, emotional health, societal expectations and other issues can play a major role in Bulimia.

Effects

  • Negative self esteem
  • Dehydration
  • Heart problems
