The abuse of drugs and alcohol is a growing concern with teenagers.

Experimenting is common but unfortunately can come with consequences.

Prescription abuse is just as deadly as street drugs and the combination can be fatal. Both are addictive.

Alcohol is also a drug. It slows your brain down and impairs your ability to think clearly and make good decisions.

Know the Signs of Drug & Alcohol Abuse

• Need to have alcohol and/or drugs to have a good time
• Blackouts
• Drinking and/or doing drugs alone
• Withdrawn
• Acting differently - missing appointments or grades dropping
• Stealing, lying, scamming, etc. to get money for more drugs and/or alcohol
