The Comanche Tribe

Food

  • For meats we eat: Buffalo, Elk, Black Bears, Pronghorn, and Deer.
  • When food is scarce our men hunt wild mustangs.
  • Some times eating our own Ponies and we steel Longhorns from ranches.

Region of Texas.
Our tribe comes from Wyoming and we migrated towards the plains of Texas.

Tools and Weapons

  • We use bows and arows.
  • In war our men use bows, spears, and buffalo hide sheilds.

Interactions.
We met with the Spanish. When we arrived in Texas Spanish gave us horses.

Conflicts

  • When the Spanish tried to gain land in Texas(1700's) they were stopped by the fierce Comanche warriors.
  • The last band of Comanche woriors surendered in 1875.

  • Liver disease.
  • Diabeties mellots.
  • Unintentional injury's.
  • Chronic respiratory diseases.

Medicine we use

  • Willow bark is a pain killer.
  • Aloe we used on dry skin.
  • we use Licorice Tea for sore throats.

woman ware in our tribe:
deer skin dresses and tall deer skin boots that have beads on them. Some times we ware little bead bracelets.

Men wore:
Deer skin pants and deer skin shirts. for shoes we ware deer skin moccasins. When going to war we ware light blue ridding boots that go all the way up to our hips.

Religion of our tribe. The people of our tribe believe in Animism. That means that we believe that all plants, animals, rivers and rocks have a spirit. That means we also believe in Manitow the great spirit.

We live in tepees and use hair-pipe breastplates to hold them up.

We do not have a single leader,but we have a council including our"war chief" and our "peace chief."

Art
Our art is not popular but our pottery was a whole other story. The pottery of our tribe is famous and we make our art out of buffalo, fruits, and vegetables

Our Economics

  • Our economy can be divided by three modes.
  • A desmestic mode of hunting and gathering.
  • A commercial mode of raiding and trading.
  • Finaly a political diplamatic econamy.

We speak a language called Numinu. Now we will teach you how to count to 5.

Tradions

  • After naming a baby we begin a ceremony that starts off by holding up the baby to the north then the east, south,and finally west, we shout the baby's name wile doing this. We do this at dawn.

A fun fact, The Comanche tribe is the most aggressive best fighting tribe. Once We had horses we were aifically the best fighters.
