SOFTWARE BASIC

SOFTWARE BASIC

  • System software allows you to do whatever you want with your computer. An application is software program that runs on your computer. Software development is done by a person that programs and searches.

Untitled Slide

  • The stages of software development are: Design, and Presentation. The five steps of Addie Model are: analyst, design, development, implementation, evaluation.

Untitled Slide

  • Computer programming is the process of creating program and it uses programming languages. The most popular programming languages are Java, C, C ++, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript.

Operating System

Untitled Slide

  • The operating system is the software that controls the hardware and acts as the user interface. Application programs cannot run on computer without an OS.

Untitled Slide

  • The OS has four basic functions: 1. To provide a user interface. 2. To provide a structure access to applications. 3. To communicate with hardware. 4. To enable users to manipulate programs and data.

Untitled Slide

  • The file system function is to organize the data of the operating system.
  • The user interface function is to be an interpreter between machine and user. There are two types of user interface: CUI and GUI

types of user interface

  • (CUI) Command-line interface: Text-based You type the text to give an instructions to your pc.

Untitled Slide

  • (GUI) Graphical user interface: User interacts with OS by pointing and clicking.

integrated circuits

Untitled Slide

  • An integrated circuit is a set of electronic circuits on one small plate ("chip") of semiconductor material, usually silicon. Integrated circuits were born from an idea of Jack Kilby who made the first chip.

Untitled Slide

  • The integrated circuit is nothing more than a very advanced electric circuit. The ICs are the heart and brains of most circuits. They are the ubiquitous little black “chips” you find on just about every circuit board, for example in RAM, PC, Car and other Machines.

TWO IMPORTANT ADVANTAGES

IC NOWADAYS

  • The integrated circuit has come a long way since Jack Kilby's first prototype. His idea founded a new industry and is the key element behind our computerized society. Today the most advanced circuits contain several hundred millions of components on an area no larger than a fingernail.
