FEMALE CHORES
Women took care of the house and the children.
The women washed clothes, washed dishes, and cooked supper.

MALE CHORES
Men worked out side on the farm
Men tended the fields took care of the animals and killed the food that they ate.

SCHOOL
Most kids did not go to school because they had to stay home and work in the fields and on the farm.
If the children did go to school they would learn simple arithmetic and English.

FOOD
They ate all sorts of food out of the garden like corn, okra, tomatoes, lettuce, and turnip greens.
They ate meat that either the men in the family had hunted or a cow or pig that had been slaughtered
6.
ENTERTAINMENT
For entertainment the families would shoot guns go hunting, fishing, playing tag, playing games
