THREE PLACES TO VISIT IN CALIFORNIA

Disneyland was first thought of when Walt Disney took his daughters on a merry-go-round. Sleeping Beauty’s castle is about 77 feet tall. Splash Mountain was originally going to be called Zip-A-Dee river run.

The Golden Gate Bridge was first proposed in 1872. The construction finally began in 1933. The color of the bridge is “international orange”.

Sea World opened in 1933. There are live performances with acrobatics with the animals. The park closes at 10:00 pm.

Mount Whitney is the largest mountain in California. It is 14,491 feet tall. It is part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

The Mojave Desert is bordered by the Great Basin desert. The Mojave Desert is often called the “high mountains”. It is the smallest desert in North America.

Mount Lassen stands about 3,500 feet above the surrounding terrain. It is one of the largest lava domes on Earth. It is part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc.

In the Indian canyons there is trails you can walk through. There is also a golf course in the Indian canyons. The trail is 15 miles long.

Central Valley is 40-60 miles wide. It is 450 miles from north to south. The valley is about the size of Denmark.

  • California is the place where I always wanted to live in when I grow up
  • I wanted to learn more about California.
  • I really want to visit the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • We are going to California on vacation this summer
