  • Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889. He died on May 27, 1964.
  • Jawaharlal Nehru was a great Indian nationalist leader who worked for independence and social reform. Jawaharlal Nehru became a first prime minister of India (1947- 1964).

Why did he went to England?

  • He went to England at the age of 15 to became a lawyer.
  • He was a lawyer and also He was a prime minister.

After He died how become a prime minister?

  • When Jawaharlal Nehru died after three years later his daughter (Indira Gandhi) became the prime minister.
  • Indira Gandhi was a prime minister for three years only because she held the post until her assassination in 1984. Then, her son Rajiv was the prime minister of India from 1984-1989, but he was also assassinated.

How does his Birthday celebrate in India?

  • His birthday is celebrated all over India as "Children Day". Most schools have cultural programmers for the day, with the students managing it all. All over the country, social, and even corporate for children. Teachers of the school perform songs and dances for their students. Therefore, It's a day set aside to remember Nehru and his love for children.
